About Us
Employing around 45 people, primarily from the local area, we are extremely proud of the fact that many of our staff have been with us for a long time, with some serving for up to 30 years. Over the years, our care homes, as part of Wells House Limited, which also includes The Manor Nursing & Residential Home, have evolved into a close-knit community, resulting in many mutual friendships being formed among staff, residents, and their families.
Our care home is fully accredited by all relevant governing bodies, including CQC. We are also in the process of becoming accredited as a St Luke’s Hospice Six Steps Care Home. Our services include Residential Care, Respite Care, Dementia Care, and Palliative Care.
Our Staffing Arrangements
With trained nursing staff on call 24 hours a day, our planned shifts are as follows:
- Weekday mornings are staffed by 2 qualified nurses & 7 care assistants.
- Weekday afternoons are staffed by 1 qualified nurse & 6 care assistants.
- Weekday evenings are staffed by 1 qualified nurse & 6 care assistants.
- Weekend days are as above, but with 1 nurse.
- All overnight shifts are staffed by 1 qualified nurse & 2 care assistants.
Additionally, our activities coordinator organises a wide range of activities for residents to enjoy, including musical entertainment, exercise classes, pet therapy, and much more.
