A small, independent Residential Care Home in Devon, The Lawns is managed by a husband-and-wife team, Sam Burdekin (Registered Manager) and Lucie Burdekin (Deputy Manager), who are dedicated to providing genuinely person-centred care for every resident.

A care plan will be created by our management team in partnership with you, your relatives or significant others.
During this process, we address fundamental care and health requirements, as well as personal preferences, like how someone enjoys their tea or coffee. We also enquire about any special dietary needs or snacks to order, or ways to make your room feel more like home.

Collaborating with the District & Community Nursing team enables us to support residents with underlying health issues, allowing us to administer insulin, change catheters and dressings, and take vital observations. Our dedicated Nursing staff members are always available and work with various healthcare professionals, such as the Occupational Therapy (OT) team, Physiotherapy, and Speech and Language Therapy (SALT), to ensure comprehensive care for each and every resident.
