At The Lawns Nursing and Residential Care Home, we place a very high priority on the needs of our residents. We have no set rules regarding what time you get up or go to bed, and visiting hours are totally flexible. Basically, if it suits you, it suits us.
Make Yourself at Home
With comfortable rooms for single or shared occupancy, many have en-suite toilet facilities. Each features a TV, and a telephone can be installed upon request. We also have bathrooms with special facilities and a large wet-room shower when needed.
To make you feel at home, you are encouraged to bring your own furniture and personal belongings with you. Familiar pictures on the wall can be very comforting. There is a lockable safe or cabinet in every room for valuables, as well as an outside smoking area.
We offer a full laundry service and keep a small stock of everyday items, such as toiletries. You may have daily papers and magazines delivered. Everyone has access to the main telephone. If you want access to a personal telephone connection, this can be arranged with BT at a charge.
Designed for Accessibility, to Care for Your Needs
There are lifts to all floors, and wheelchair access to the rooms. Additional handrails are fitted where necessary, and each room is equipped with emergency call points which are monitored 24 hours a day.
A nurse call system is in place within the home, allowing you to easily request assistance. Pressure mats and chair sensors are linked to the nurse call system for automated monitoring, as established by your assessment.
