At The Lawns Nursing and Residential Care Home, we pride ourselves on our excellent catering and dining facilities, offering a wide choice of meals and snacks, visitor meals, special dietary requirements and assistance for those who need it.
Catering to All Dietary Needs
Our in-house team of chefs caters to all dietary needs, with input from our nursing team as necessary. We have curated a menu based on feedback from our residents, in addition to their relatives, ensuring that the food we provide is enjoyable and includes specific meals requested by the residents.
All kitchen staff are trained in the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI), allowing us to accommodate all types of dietary requirements, such as coeliac disease, nut allergies, dairy intolerances, vegetarian and vegan diets, and more.
Residents are welcome to dine wherever they like, and we have dining facilities in both of our day rooms. If you have specific items you would like to order, our administrator can assist by placing the order directly with the supermarket.
Home Cooked Meals by In-House Cooks
Our menu options include a variety of delicious, home-cooked meals, all prepared and made fresh on the day by our in-house catering staff. On Wednesdays and Sundays, we serve a roast dinner, while Fridays feature fish and chips or fish pie. Mondays include our tasty curry, in addition to many other options.
Meals are prepared at 9:00am, 12:30pm, and 4:30pm, and snacks are available throughout the day. Residents have the flexibility to eat at their chosen time, and meals can be customised to meet individual dietary needs.
